Radiator cap

Lately my bike fills the overflow tank, but when it cools it never pulls any coolant back into the engine which it should do and used to do. Connections are tight so I suspect a bad radiator cap that may be the cause of lack of vacuum to do that. I see Summit Racing has V8 caps in 7psi and 16psi and...

Headlight mount failure!

A few years ago I installed a TrukLite LED headlamp on my bike and I believe the housing is a Headwind or similar type housing. The housing was on the bike when I bought it. This lamp is a bit heavy and after two years of riding, I was on a rough road coming back from a ride when suddenly the whole ...

Re: ST80 solenoid

That's what is so great about this forum and the older one that I used for so many years. With all the knowledge and advice you get from fellow riders you can usually figure out problems and remedy them due to the fact others have run into the same thing and posted about it. Our "local dealers&...

ST80 solenoid

I had to replace one of these on my 01 bike, but my 04 was still using the original...until today! I've always had a spare so had one to use. Went to go for a ride today and when I turned on the key my voltage went from just under 8 to 0 and heard a buzzing under the seat, so suspected this was the ...

Re: Advice for Truk Lite 7 Headlight Users!

Biggest issue on mine is I have a Headwinds housing that is pretty long and with the weight of that headlamp along with the long housing probably put more leverage on the bolts then those that sit close. Still a good idea to put in longer bolts if you can just to be sure. I've had this setup for a c...

Advice for Truk Lite 7 Headlight Users!

I installed a Truk Lite 7 LED headlight a couple years ago and the headlight mount has loosened a couple times, so tightened it. Last night out for a ride, hit a pothole and the whole assembly fell off the triple tree and hit my front fender, damaging the paint a bit. Hanging by the wires I managed ...

Re: Harold Blocker

Copied this post from 9 hours ago on Facebook: From Becky last night: Some good news, Around midnight Harold started waking up. Opening his eyes, following commands and plenty of upper body movement. Only negative new is that while his urine output has increased his numbers are worse. The plan is to...

Barry, I missed that one. Sure hope he pulls through all this, but sounds like it's going to be a long tough road. Fingers crossed he gets better soon.

Re: Harold Blocker

Hadn't heard much more about Harold's condition, but copied this post found on Facebook this morning. Don't know what happened:

Update: Harold Blocker has had an episode and they had to do an emergency trach. He will have surgery later this morning to repair emergency trach.

Re: Voice from the past...

Looking great Mike! I've been wondering how that project was coming along. Last time I saw it you were far along fabricating the metal body and mentioned you had driven the chassis. It will be a real show stopper for sure! Thanks for showing the progress. I'm impressed! I'm lucky enough have Mike as...
