Hate to do it - Price lowered
After so many awesome years owning my bike I've made the decision to part with it. I'm at the point where I'm enjoying my Corvette more and not feeling as anxious on the road as I do with the bike. Too many friends have lost their lives or have had serious injuries biking recently. My wife is scared...

Marv is now home and doing well. I bet he's trying to figure out how to get out of the house on two wheels before his wife knows he gone. LOL

Re: Marv went down last night.
Saw Marv this morning and for a 78 year old who got thrown from a bike at high speed...it's amazing that he's ready to get up and move around and in great spirits. All I could think of while I was there is this guy has Evil Knievel blood in him. He does has 6 broken ribs, a broken toe and the tip of...

Re: Marv went down last night.
I'm stopping at the hospital tomorrow morning and I'll give an update. He was at BIR Brainerd International Raceway doing time trials with what he calls the worlds fastest bagger. From what I was told he had a high speed wobble and the bike tossed him. He was flown from Brainerd to Minneapolis last ...

Re: Water Pump...Electrial ???
Good news....After changing the ground location, all terminals cleaned and fuses in the box replaced, I went on a short ride and no overheating. Now my tach does not work. That's for another day to figure that one out.

Water Pump...Electrial ???
I got a head scratcher here. Yesterday I changed plugs and it was obvious the carb was a little rich. Turned in the all four corners about 1/8 turn on the carb, started the bike and went for a test ride. Pulled nice and strong, no flat spots and it idled down nicely. What I did not expect is the tem...

Rear brake rotor
Looking to replace my original rotor for my 01. Marv no longer has any of his custom machined ones available. Before I go calling BH dealers thought I would try here.

I’m not a big contributor to this site although your contributions especially on tech issues and fixes is one reason I’m still a BH owner. Thank you!!!! If I only post this one contribution on this site, I believe it will be one of the most important one you will read. If you own a pre 2007 BH and y...

That's a great idea! Should have done that when I moved the pulley out some for the new tire and rim.
THANKS!!

Re: 34 to 32 tooth front pulley
Thanks...all good information. I did hear back from Marv and he himself runs a smaller front pulley. He also echoed what some have said here....Better hook-up, lower top speed and easier burnouts. The price was right so I'll be picking one up from him next week and maybe replace the belt while I'm a...

34 to 32 tooth front pulley
I'm considering going to the 32 tooth front pulley from the stock 34. Reason: I'd like to have more low end power. I know it will add more RPM's at higher speeds which I'm OK with. Anyone made this move and what have you experienced?

Re: Ignition Upgrade
Found this on a Z28 site. Credit to Damon. FORGET VOLTAGE! Voltage is IRRELEVANT. It only takes 10-20K volts to jump the plug gap even under the most brutal conditions in a street/strip engine. "High voltage" coils are marketing crap talk. What matters is TOTAL SPARK ENERGY. Voltage is wha...

Ignition Upgrade
After upgrading the cam, rockers, carb and headers on my 2001 ZZ4 the past couple of years, I’m considering upgrading the ignition. One option is the Davis Unified Ignition HEI upgrade kit. 50,000V up to 7000 RPM and an upgraded ignition module which will increase the dwell. Couple this with low res...
Re: Monte
After reading all this I have to be honest that I was wondering what my next move should be. Sell the Boss and go back to a HD. One of the reasons I was not so concerned owning the Boss was because Tim Dalbec (Boss Hoss Concepts) is just ½ hour from me as well as Marv. Parts or major repairs are in ...

After some detective work I did find the original owner and gave him a call. This was a suggested upgrade from the dealer. He believes the upgrade was from the A to B model.

Re: Condensation in speedometer.
I too have the Speedhut...Love it!!
Just have to keep H2O off of it. When I wash the bike I cover the gauge. I did smear dialectical grease on the outside edges of the gauge glass and around the black selector button. No condensation after 2 years.

NESCO question
I just found some old paperwork from the original owner of my 2001 BH3. It's a packing slip from NESCO dated March of 2003. There are 4 items listed on the invoice: 1. Rebuild Fee-Serial no. 99412 2. Planetary Gear Set 3. PP-M1 Torque Converter 4. In-Line Oil Filter I don't have the previous owners ...
