Trike brake upgrade

Post by knockdolian »

I read a post on the other forum ref trike brakes. After looking at kits I thought I would make my own. I had the Brembo callipers with the 10.5" rotors. The callipers just didn't fill me with confidants. I bought a pair of Renault 5 turbo front callipers for £10. Made a template mount from 2nm aluminium to make sure it all fitted. The used mount is 10mm steel plate. They work superbly and will lock up at speed if needed. The original Harley type master cylinder works well with them. I just had to lengthen the rod a bit to take up free play. Rear brake upgrade for £10. Highly recommended.
